Sat Jan 29, 2005, 10:53 AM
Mwha ha ha! Yes, I'm quite aware I haven't been around for awhile. However, I can asure you of my return! I'm on a mission and I have new art I need to post for your veiwing pleasure...or not. Heh heh heh. Hope you had a lovely holiday! I sure did. I was sucked into the black abyss of the gaming world once again over the holiday! That, and I was watching Kill Bill over and over. I hope to hear from you soon. Au revoir!

Do you need some advice about life in general? Or perhaps just a laugh will suffice? Then you need to pick up a copy of the Wisdom of Mandish Tome! It's coming to a gallery near you! (In particular, mine.) Go check it out.

Ah, the spoon... I thought I had kept up on that, but I guess not. There's not much I can say about it from a picture. I recommend you take it to a university for an archaeologist or historian to look at. Sounds like field trip time!

So here I am again, huh, where did we stop?? Ah yes, Ive managed it to find some photos of our town (or better said the next larger one), my home and some other. Since every third house here still looks like from renascence or gothic time, its not hard to find a good scenes for a photo...well, except you dont have a digicam, like me :sniff:
And currently they are trying to restore most of this old stuff (10 years ago they would just have smashed it)
Sadly the people here are worried so much about their work and the political economy that they oversee such things which makes life beautifull.

So here are the photos, Ive uploaded them on my HP server (sorry for no thumbnails)
[link]

The first one is the entrance to our castle with its castle church in the BG. Sometimes on the weekend Im walking trough the castle yard / garden in the night - its really great for inspirations and you sometimes feel like 500 years ago

The second one shows a castle in a small village im passing trough each day when I get to work. Its really a small village, but the castle is really big and beautifull.

The next 2 ones are my home, one during winter time and one during summer. I just want to show that almost every second house here has this framwork style. And there are alot more beautifull framework houses, depending which
part of germany you visit.

The next 2 ones are the marketplace and the castle (as on the first pic) in the town. And the last 2 ones are 2 castles not far away from here. The first one has a pretty big entrance, huh??

So what legends do we find here?? Well, mostly ones about kings and princes. For legends about creatures we have to move a bit more west, into the green heart of germany. There can be founds legends about giants and witches and places there have really fantasy names such as dragons cave or fairys grotto.
But as Ive said before you can visit every part of germany and youll find legends. In the west probably more about heroes and dragons, in the north about pirates and gnomes, in the middle about creatures and giants and in the east about kings and spirits.

You see germany is a land where almost every culture and tribe has met. So there legends of every culture can be found here, may it be the goths, the saxonia, the vikings or the romans etc.
So if you want to visit germany you should also visit England, Ireland and France, they are great too. In England youll find probably even more legends.
